Today’s Ujitawara / Soen Nagatani’s Birthplace

In Ujitawara, a town in the southern Kyoto, there is Soen Nagatani’s birthplace. Soen Nagatani (1680-1778) is known as a father of nihon ryokucha or Japanese green tea.
