On August 28, the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games announced that Coca-Cola (Japan) Company, Limited would become the first presenting partner of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay.
Jorge Garduño’s Comment
The President of Coca-Cola (Japan) Company, Limited, Jorge Garduño commented, “We are proud to have the longest history as a partner of the Olympic Games since 1928. Also, in 1992, we involved in the Olympic Torch Relay. We are delighted to become the first Presenting Partner for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay. From now, we will be working as one team with our five Bottling Partners, Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc., Hokkaido Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Michinoku Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Hokuriku Coca-Cola Bottling Company, and Okinawa Coca-Cola Bottling Company, to bring the Olympic Torch throughout Japan. We will offer an opportunity to join the Olympic Movement through the Torch Relay that will be unforgettable, special experience, which will boost the mood of Tokyo 2020.
Yoshiro Mori’s Comment
Tokyo 2020 President, Yoshiro Mori said, “Today we welcomed Coca-Cola (Japan) Company, Limited, as the first Presenting Partner of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay. Supported by Coca-Cola that has been a Presenting Partner of the Torch Relay at 12 previous editions of the Games and have extensive experience, we hope to make the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Torch Relay successful, which is held just before the Games and is the most important event for setting the mood.”
