Super Nintendo World is coming to USJ

Dec. 12, 2016

Nintendo announced that the world’s 1st Nintendo themed area, Super Nintendo World will open in Universal Studios Japan in time for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

It includes state-of-the-art rides, interactive areas, shops and restaurants. The development cost is expected to be more than 50 billion yen.

People around the world will be so excited at the wonderful themed area featuring globally renowned characters. I hope the visitors will be able to fight with Bowser, ride Yoshi, break a brick block like Mario and so on.

Located in Osaka, USJ will bring more economic benefits to Kansai area in Western Japan.

Now, there is much discussion about building an integrated resort (IR) including a casino in Japan. I’m not sure IR is totally a good idea, but if it will be realized in Kansai area, the area will be revitalized even more and attract innumerable people all over the world.

I expect Kansai area will be the best amusement area in Japan. I’m excited just like the beard man breaking a shining question mark block.

Also, Nintendo themed areas are coming to Orlando and Hollywood in the future. I bet it’s going to be awesome.
