Nintendo will release its new console, Nintendo Switch, globally on March 3, 2017. It has the capacitive multi touch screen (6.2 inches) and Joy-Con controllers. In the US, it will cost $299.99.
You can play it in 3 modes: TV Mode, Tabletop Mode and Handheld Mode. The battery life is 2.5 to 6.5 hours.
Joy-Con controllers are beyond imagination. When a player press a Capture Button of the left Joy-Con, an instant screenshot of gameplay is taken to share it on social media. The IR Motion Camera of the right Joy-Con can tell how far the player’s hand is, and even detect the shape of the hand. When shaking one, the HD Rumble in it will make you feel ice cubes rattling in a glass, just like the real experience. If you have additional controllers, you can play in multiplayer modes.
The online service will allow Nintendo Switch owners to play online matches as well as connect with friends. This service will be free until the fall of 2017, though afterwards it will be a paid service. The price has not revealed yet.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be available on the release day, March 3, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, April 28. Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon 2 for Nintendo Switch won’t be available until later this year. Third party games will include Dragon Ball Z, Sonic, Just Dance, FIFA and Street Fighter.
By using the free Nintendo Switch Parental Controls, parents can control which games their children can play, how long and how late they can play and whether they can pay on Nintendo eShop.
This year you will see players enjoy Nintendo Switch everywhere, like in trains, parks and restaurants like McDonald’s. I have already decided what to buy for christmas presents.
