Sep. 5, 2017 I went to a Japanese teishoku restaurant, Yayoi (Yayoi-ken). Teishoku is a Japanese combo meal. I ate local food of Oita Prefecture, chicken tempura and dango soup.
Sep. 1, 2017 I made onigiri for breakfast. Onigiri is also called omusubi. When I hear the word ‘omusubi’ I think of a Japanese fairy tale, Omusubi Kororin (English: The Rolling Rice Ball).
Aug. 29, 2017 I went to Kobe Motomachi Shopping Street and saw the Mouth of Truth next to the apron. How funny. It is a palm reading machine, actually. It is only 100 yen.
Aug. 25, 2017 I was making poi scoopers for a goldfish scooping game. Children will play the game at a local festival in my neighborhood. The poi paper can break easily when soaked in water.
Aug. 23, 2017 I suppose many Japanese see fireworks every summer. The other day I watched a great fireworks display on TV, and in this evening I saw smaller fireworks at a summer festival.
